So, as most of you are aware, everyone and their (insert older relative here) is on Twitter nowadays. I personally find that Twitter, if used correctly, can be an awesome organizational tool. However, I find it occuring too often that most people are just IMing the world every random thought they have. Not that I have anything against doing so (and I encourage people to use it how they see fit), I just find it slightly inefficient (for how I see Twitter could be used). But hey, everyone has their own reasons, purpose, use, and methods for use for it, so by all means, please continue. That's not what this post is about.

Just don't do what some folks do- use it like IM, then have the conversation fragments shipped to LJ. It's microblogging, not an IM client. };P

I tend to see Twitter as basically a large, fragmented chat room, where no one is really paying much attention. ;)

I am there, and it's nice to see what's going on with everyone, but I don't feel it's very useful for anything important that you want useful feedback from, or that you expect a lot of people to actually notice.

In short, if you think you might have a use for it, perhaps for organization as you mentioned, then go for it. :)
