Daily Grind

Spent the weekend playing with the old parts from my computer from before I upgraded to my current setup, I got it up and running again by chucking a spare hard drive in it, no sound card and no built-in audio on the mobo though, so I gotta grab a cheapie Sound Blaster at some point. Dunno what I'm going to do with the comp though.

Yesterday at werk was slow, didn't get much in, worked on getting ready for inventory and moved a ton of New Year's freight down from top stock. After werk Benny, Malinda, and I went to Best Buy where we picked up a Radeon HD2600 Pro (just a notch under the card I have (I have the XT)) for his comp that we put together Friday (I owed him $80 so the $60 mobo/processor set I got was given to him along with a 1GB stick of ram to settle that debt) and I finished setting up the computer for him and got it online on the network here at home in my room and updated and whatnot.

Today I got in 53 boxes of New Years kits (party favor boxes for groups of people) from Fed-Ex, and 53 boxes of crap from UPS too. Took me a while to get everything inside and checked in. So much for clearing things for inventory.

Why not just get a newer X-Fi for your computer and put the Live 5.1 in your old machine?

I've been thinking about doing that actually. I probably will after FC, or if I can find one cheap before then (pretty much all my extra $ has to be saved for the con for the rest of the year).

I really would like to get something with a frontpanel like the 5.1 came with, it's handy for my setup.
