I didn't get any sleep last night, it was too friggin hot.

I talked to Malinda a bit today on the phone. Turns out she overheard my aunt talking to my mom about the parade, and my mom seemed upset/distressed that I might be going to SF for it (heh, what else is going on this weekend?), so Malinda was asking me if I wanted her to tag along so we could make up something if my mom ends up making a big deal about it, and also to hang out and meet some of my friends. Thanks sis.

I'll find out from her if she still wants to go, later today. I already told her what my plans were, so she's thinking if she wants to go or not. If she's coming with me, she's gotta spend the night here, cause we need to be at the ferry terminal at 8AM to catch the first ferry (next one is at 9, which is the one I took last year).

After thinking about it, I'm not scared/worried about her reactions to anything, and I'd be happy to have her along, even if she doesn't quite know everything about me. I'd honestly like her to come along, I think. Who knows, meeting everyone might get her interested in coming to FC next year.

I'm going to go take a shower now, then I'm going to just lounge in the heat, then pack my backpack, then I'm sleeping early.

She knows, and it's ok

So my mom came in the room a while ago, talked a bit. She asked a few things, I didn't answer. She said it's ok, patted my shoulder, then left. I'm still smiling. That just made my day.

Today's just full of big suprises isn't it?
