LCD goodness
Apr. 23rd, 2003 11:02 pmWent to the mall with Malinda and Benny again. Looked around, didn't buy anything till we went to Sam Goody and I saw a '4 inch' (not really 4 inches) PS One LCD screen with a price tag of $24.99. So I grabbed the box, finding it to be empty. No problem, that's just a display box, right? So I brought it to the girl at the counter.
She took the box and went into the back room to check if they had any screens left, coming back with the last one. She rang it up and it was $49.99. Wait, what happened to $25? I complained, but the computer was listing it at $50, the box she brought out said $50, she had conveniently left the mispriced box in the backroom where I couldn't get it to point out the error again (she had clearly seen the price when I first handed it to her), and she refused to change the price. So what did I do? I still bought it, cause it was still half as much as any other store.
Right now, I have the screen hooked up to my computer as a secondary monitor, and I set it so all video clips and DVDs I watch are played full screen on the LCD even when it's minimized, so I can fiddle with other windows while watching stuff. Course this isn't why I bought it though. I'll get around to doing some interesting things with it.
I've been awake since yesterday afternoon, so I'm a bit tired.
