Red eyed black dragons
Mar. 16th, 2003 02:21 amGot home a few hours ago, played some Super Smash Bros Melee with Benny. I ended up buying two things at Japantown - a copy of the first 1996 Yu-Gi-Oh! movie on DVD (obvious bootleg from a laserdisc that doesn't exist, supposedly) and one of the Japanese Spirited Away soundtracks. I watched the DVD already, it was short but cool. I'll listen to the CD tomorrow, when I can turn it up a little bit and actually hear it.
While I was at Japantown, I noticed a guy sitting in the next booth over who was sketching in his sketchbook. I kept peeking at his work every now and then, whoever he was, he was pretty damned good. What was more interesting to me however, was the inked drawing in his book on the page before the one he was currently drawing on. It had been heavilly inked, so one could see what it was through the back of the page. It was either an orca or dolphin girl, and was pretty neat.
I would have approached the guy and asked if I could take a better look, but he seemed to be a bit annoyed that the people in the area (especially the group behind him in the next booth) were noisy around him and I figured that wasn't a good idea, so I just watched him finish his sketch then leave. That was cool.
